I recently purchased a Panasonic 42" Plasma TV and didn't want our son or dog to knock over our expensive TV. After some research I found the Kanto KMFMX2 mount to be the best under $200 TV mount for my goal. I wanted a TV mount that would take roughly twice the weight of our TV (45 lbs X 2 = 90 lbs) that had two arms and attached to two sets of studs. This mount takes nearly 3 times my weight requirement and is surprisingly adjustable.
I received the mount in short order and had it installed in roughly an hour and a half. One needs to take a bit of time to figure out where you want it installed as my instructions where clear how to mount it to the wall but not clear as to placement. I placed the back brackets on our TV and measured the distance to the top of our TV. After locating the two studs nearest our mounting location I located the center and the top height that I wanted our TV and then measured down the distance below where the back bracket is mounted and this was where the top edge of the bracket should go. I raised this roughly two inches for wiggle room as the back bracket can be adjusted up or down to fine tune your installation as well as side to side on the outer plate. I placed a small nail where I thought the lag bolt should go and placed the wall mount on the nail to test fitment. The wall bracket has multiple holes which are ovoid to allow for imperfect lag placement. Also, the wall plate can accommodate 16" and 24" on center wood studs and can be placed off center to adjust your centering of the mount. You simply adjust left or right which set of holes you use to adjust the center of the bracket left or right relative to where you want the center of your TV to be. I needed to go one set right of center for our setup. I removed the nail and drilled my first lag hole. I then used a level and located and drilled the second lag hole 16" over on the adjacent stud. The mounting bracket has a built in level if you do not have one so one could drill the first hole and use the level on the bracket to locate the second hole. I then hung the bracket from the top two lag holes and then drilled my last two lag holes through the bracket. My wife helped me lift the TV onto the bracket and it was finished.
The kit includes all the hardware required for both the TV and wall mounting to either wood studs or concrete/brick. The instructions suggested this kit was not designed for metal studs. [...]
Had the mount looked a little nicer and the installation included a wall template to simplify locating the installation point I would have given this 5 stars. It feels very solid and I have no worries for the TV coming off the wall or falling over. Our 42" TV can rotate nearly 90 degrees off the wall so our room has a lot of flexibility for viewing.

I don't normally take time to write reviews, but I got this mount after returning a $350.00 articulating mount back to the retail shop I bought it from because it didn't fit my studs. This mount has a 24" back plate for stud spacing. A huge benefit for me. The TV can shift left or right on the plate to allow it to be centered on wall. It's super strong..... I can pretty much put all my weight on it.. no problems. Love it and recommend it and great price too.

I had researched TV mounts to a great extent, and knew this was the one I wanted for my 42 in LCD flat screen My contractor mounted it with another person in an hour. Amazon shipped quickly, and the price was the best I found in shopping for the product.
